A Gantt chart requires relationships between tasks
However, scheduling itself does not necessarily need a Gantt chart. This is especially true for simple smaller projects in a more team collaboration and informal environment
In ProjectContexts, we define systems and tasks outside of a schedule. To bring a task to a schedule, it needs at least one assignee to that task.
We follow the same steps as described for the regular Gantt chart:
1 define systems:

2 Define tasks: ( note: default duration = 1 day)

3 Post the tasks to a schedule
step 1

step 2:
drag task 1.2 .
Note: the durations show 3 days as the tasks started on January 29, Friday. Task1.2 starts on a Monday

tasks can be dragged and durations changed graphically. ( with cursor either on the middle of the bar, or on the right end of the bar)

As a matter of interest, the bar is positioned on the schedule by auto-generating a constraint.
