Tasks and Systems are defined OFF Schedule. Adding relationships to those elements makes a Chart a Gantt chart.
But really, a Gantt chart is optional: the User can just drag tasks horizontally without invoking any relationships. However we recommend not mixing the two options as there may be a multitude of conflicts between the two processes.
The second function in the Gantt dropdown box is the financial view. For release 1.0, the financial view consists of the Cashflow view.
click on Show Resource Panel.
For a F-S relationship, draw a (dashed) line from the finish of a preceding task to the start of a task; similar to F-F, S-S relationships.
Let go of the mouse button and the diagonal line reverts to a set of straight lines.
The relationship can be further edited by a double-click on the relationship line: ( we added a lag of -15 days).
A baseline can be added for the schedule currently displayed.
Click on the comment icon in the dropdown box title above:
The baseline schedule itself is displayed in the lower part of each row of the current schedule.
Use the [Focus system] dropdown box to filter on systems:
A time log range for a task, system, or project is the (time) range over which time has been logged to that element.
ProjectContexts provides a very extensive filtering and highlighting system.
Noteworthy is the “no successor” highlight that is very useful in the schedule creation phase.
